BARENE
by STUDIO NUCLEO
Barene pays tribute to the Venetian lagoon and its unique barene, the submerged islands that both protect and sustain life. Inspired by the aerial view of the barene’s varied convex polygons, the collection experiments with modular glass bricks, transforming them into both literal and metaphorical building blocks of glass artistry. Each piece is crafted through fusing cotisso glass particles, repurposing waste material into a composition that is simultaneously structured, playful, and emblematic of Venice’s layered natural and cultural landscape.
