Imaginary Cities
For THÉMA 2025 in Paris (23rd to 26th October), WonderGlass & WonderLab present Imaginary Cities. At its essence, the image’s basic unit becomes a cast glass cube: a literal brick that builds form, and an imagined brick that builds meaning. First explored in Venice with Invisible Cities, these glass elements are newly reconfigured in Paris into new abstract landscapes of an imaginary architecture.
Each Pixel is simple in form yet infinite in possibility. Multiplied and arranged, the cubes rise into abstract skylines, evoking buildings and structures suspended between memory and imagination. They rest on a table of fused, silvered and mirrored glass, where every cube finds its double in the textured reflection. The blown glass legs lift the installation like transparent stilts, airy and luminous, giving the entire composition a sense of lightness and suspension.
This liquid architecture, transparent and delicate, is endlessly open to reconstruction. Imaginary Cities rises and shifts, multiplies and mirrors, tracing landscapes that exist between reflection and possibility.
