BARENE

by STUDIO NUCLEO

With Barene, Studio Nucleo pays tribute to the Venetian lagoon and, specifically, to the barene – submerged islands which both protect and sustain life. Taking inspiration from the aerial view of the barene’s myriad variations of convex polygons, the Barene collection represents a profound experimentation with the modular brick form, the literal and metaphorical building blocks of glass artistry, created via fusing glass waste cotisso particles.
