Melt embodies the fluidity of glass in its most organic form. Inspired by a serendipitous observation in a Venetian workshop, where molten glass bent like soft dough, Nendo collaborated with WonderGlass to harness gravity in shaping the material. Large slabs of hot glass are carefully draped over suspended steel frames, allowing the material to naturally sag and stretch into graceful, arching forms. This technique captures the essence of transformation, where the rigidity of glass gives way to a soft, flowing elegance.
Melt Edition includes Melt Armchair, Melt Bench, Melt Stool, Melt Chair, Melt Chaise Longue, Melt Dining Table, Melt Partition and Melt Coffee Table.

Nendo is a design firm founded in 2002 in Tokyo, with architect Oki Sato as its principal. The firm realizes its goal of bringing small “!” moments to people through its multidisciplinary practice whose media include architecture, interiors, furniture, industrial products, and graphic design. Nendo opened its Milan office in 2005 and its Singapore office in 2012. Nendo has since received numerous awards and recognition; Newsweek named Oki one of the world’s ‘100 Most Respected Japanese People’ and most recently, Oki earned the title of ‘Designer of the Year’ by both Wallpaper* and Elle Decoration magazines.
